I love to create beautiful memories and tell love stories with image, real moments captured justas they happen.

My style is relaxed, candid and natural, I want you and your family to feel relaxed in front of the camera, I will be there to capture all the special moments. The ones you planned and the ones not so planned (Often the best ones!!) I want you to take away a bunch of memories that will be treasured for years to come.

What is your style?

I take documentary/candid style photographs, I use some poses, but like to let things happen naturally, I feel that these images show off your true personality and at the end of the day will be the images you will treasure..... the stolen moments and the secret looks. I like to tell the story of your wedding day in an unobtrusive way and just let the magic and adventure happen.

How far in advance should we book?

Wedding dates especially in the summer season book up really fast, the best time to book your photographer is as early as possible. For Engagement, portrait and family sessions that can be weather dependent, we can move the dates around depending on availability.

Do you take a deposit?

Yes, I require a non refundable 10% deposit to reserve your chosen date, the full amount is due 10 days before the event, I'll also send you a contract to sign and a questionnaire to help me get you know you a little better.

How long does it take for my images to be ready?

You will get a sneak peek of 2-5 images within 24 hours of your shoot sent directly to you and on social media, the rest of your images will be delivered within 4-6 weeks depending on if it is peak wedding season.

Do you offer prints, books or canvas?

Yes, I love to see photographs in print, I can get any number of prints and I work with several different suppliers in order to be able to offer a variety to my clients. All have high quality print options. If you would like to see any examples please let me know and I can bring samples when we meet.

When is the best light / time line?

The harshest light for photography is in the middle of the day, especially in the New Zealand summer, the light here is very harsh and can result in dark shadows. I will do my best to accommodate this if this is when you decide to have your ceremony, however the best light is during the golden hour, the light is lovely and soft and can produce amazing photographs. If you can slip away from your reception for a few moments, we can create some magical shots as the sun sets.

What if it rains?

If you are having an outside ceremony, I would have a back up location for the ceremony, as for the photos, you'd be surprised what we can achieve in low light and non perfect conditions, rain and clouds can make for some epic moody shots.

What gear do you use and do you back up your photos?

I use all Canon professional cameras and lenses, two Canon 5D Mark IV and a mixture of zoom and prime lenses, I shoot to duel memory cards for the whole day so I am recording all images twice.
After a wedding I immediately back up all of the RAW files to a hard drive and the cloud so there is no chance of anything going astray.

Will you use our photos on social media or your website?

Yes, I love to create and share beautiful content and will post your sneak peak on social media for you to share. If you don't feel comfortable with this please let me know beforehand.
